A career in Computer Information Systems (CIS) is in high demand, offering opportunities such as Cybersecurity, Cloud Administration and Database Administration. The suite of Computer Information Systems (CIS) programs at TSC offers students the ability to begin working in the industry while pursuing a degree or certificate – in as little as one semester. This program is designed for those who are brand new to the IT industry, such as recent high school graduates, or for those who already have some experience and knowledge of the industry – and are looking to upskill or advance their career.
Trinidad State offers an AAS degree and several certificates, allowing students to pursue the credential or specialization that best meets their needs. All of the TSC programs offer at least one CompTia Certification preparation class, so students have quick options to begin working in the industry while completing a program.
The Associate of Applied Science in Computer Information Systems allows students to progress through a four-semester sequence, obtaining a common skill set (along with preparation for three CompTia Industry Credentials) during the first three semesters. During the fourth semester, students will choose an area of emphasis: Cybersecurity, Database Administration, or Cloud Administration.

Cybersecurity, Cloud Administration, and Database Administration. In addition, we
offer a CompTia Test Prep certificate for those only seeking industry credentials.
Once completed, you can apply ALL classes in all Certificates towards your upskilled
AAS degree in CIS.
